Beautiful Me is an innovative educational program for girls and women ages 5 to 105, designed to build confidence, resilience and self-worth.

We invite all educators and mental health professionals to teach Beautiful Me.

Each part of the workshop centers on a learning moment inspired by the lives of Emma, Alyson and Katie Hance and the parenting lessons shared by Jackie and Warren Hance.

Girls and women benefit from a dedicated, safe space to examine how they talk about themselves, how they view their bodies and personalities and how they give and receive recognition from others.

“I was amazed at the positive change in my attitude and mood.”

Confidence Changes Everything

Confidence Changes Everything 〰️

Beautiful Me is designed to fit your schedule. Lead the program as one 2.5-hour workshop, three 45 to 60-minute sessions or six 30-minute sessions.

We recommend a group size of no more than 15 participants. Group size is kept deliberately small so every participant has room to share and be heard.

IMPACT VERIFIED

Beautiful Me was evaluated by The Baker Center, a Harvard Medical School affiliate. Students and facilitators described the program’s impact consistently across three separate sets of focus groups:

  • Relationships with others. The single most frequently cited impact. Participants got along better with peers and were more encouraging and supportive, and a sense of belonging formed within the groups. This connection matters, because students who feel more connected to their school are more likely to perform better academically.

  • Visible confidence. Participants reported feeling better about themselves, including in the face of bullying, and adults observed the change independently.

  • Classroom participation. Teachers reported students raising their hands, speaking up more in class and participating more fully.

  • Self-awareness and self-reflection. Participants who had not previously noticed their own negative self-talk became able to identify those thoughts and consciously shift them.

“My daughter came home with a huge smile on her face after each session. She spoke about what makes her feel beautiful and shared her compliments at the dinner table.”
